About the JMMY Center
The James Messier Memorial Youth Center was conceived by the congregation of the Georgia Plain Baptist Church after the death of a young, 10 year old attendee, Jimmy Messier. Jimmy was an active, fun-loving boy who loved to gather with friends and family and have fun.
The Center was built in 2009 with the support of the Georgia community, to provide a safe, comfortable place for the youth of the area to gather for activities. The center is dependent on volunteers and fundraisers to keep the doors open.
The day to day operation of the JMMY Center is overseen by a Board of directors made up of members of the Church but also of community members who have an interest in providing safe activities for area youth. If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact us.
